Have You Ever Heard of Ethical Real Estate Investors?
By Tridipta Ghosh

In the beginning when you get into this real estate business and come in acquaintance with other investors then you will find that most of them follow the traditional real estate methods. Along with the common people, those investors think the modern day investors to be robbers in disguise of gentlemen, who take advantage of sellers in trouble or distress. Contemporary investors are thought to be only counting on money. But, knowingly or unknowingly many investors themselves prove this belief of others to be correct. They think earning money can lead to facing any unethical consequences. In mere future they turn into unprincipled investors. These investors might achieve success in their initial stage, but, will you ever refer any one to such an investor? Of course not. "Slow and steady wins the race". Be patient and grow your own principles over your real estate business. Look forward to any seller's problem and try helping them as a problem solver. Who said being principled and polite does not allow an investor to get success on his way? Would not you also like to sleep peacefully at night?

What would be your view when it comes to pricing of a house? Get the actual value price for the house. Isn't it? Do not go for a overpricing. It is better to ignore if you can not turn in a particular deal. Who would like to earn his living by making use of other helpless people! Better you look for people in problem and try helping them out. In turn you will also get benefited. If you search well you will find innumerable property owners who are very much eager to get rid of then through a real estate deal and agree to terms well-disposed to both the buyer and the seller. These desperate sellers are probably affected by tremendous financial crisis, or may have undergone a divorce, or got a job transfer. So they are left with no other option. In this critical period put forward your helping hand. Do not keep in mind such belief that you are taking advantage of the people. If you are found to behave different from the remaining crowd of investors, the sellers will be easily able to obverse that. Obviously this will lead them react differently with you. Notice what has been said. I did not mean you to pretend that you are their mentors. You know something; many sellers have their emotions attached to their properties. So sellers, always look for buyers with principles, who would value their emotions too.

Set your mind to the fact that you will always behave as a helping hand to the people in problem. This is the only way to success in the real estate investing business. Many sellers are shy and fearful to disclose their financial situations to the buyers, lest they take advantage of them and put them into further trouble. So to avoid such disgraceful situation face the sellers with very simple questions as when they are willing to sell or why they want to sell? Out the ball in their court by saying that you are going to pay in cash. So what deal they would like to decide on? Do not try to be investigative. Make them feel comfortable so that they come up with facts about the property on their own.
